SOILutions – the path to a viable countryside – conference recording

The first SOILutions conference brought together farmers, experts and the public. On 21 October 2025, Moravské Lieskové hosted the first international SOILutions conference – the path to a viable countryside. The event took place at the ŽiTo v Sýpke educational and community centre and attracted more than a hundred participants – from farmers and food processors to researchers, chefs, local government representatives, pioneers and promoters of regenerative agriculture.

The aim was to present practical solutions for reconnecting healthy soil, food and community at a time of climate uncertainty, soil erosion and rural depopulation. The conference confirmed that joining forces across platforms for a common goal – the regeneration of soil and landscape – is not just about soil management techniques but about a new approach to rural life. Healthy soil, a cultural landscape and cooperating communities are the foundation of a resilient and self-sufficient countryside – for farmers, food and the climate.
