Farma Vegget microfarm

Vegget microfarm is a small family farm that has rented a plot in Vajnory, Bratislava, from the local cooperative. They were given ordinary arable land covering 1.3 hectares, where since May 2021 they have been creating a regenerative organic farm. The farm runs on a so-called local vegetable subscription. It is a model known as CSA (community supported agriculture), which helps many farms around the world stay viable even in more difficult times. It is an agreement between the grower and a seasonal customer, under which the farm provides the customer with a box of fresh produce every week.

In addition, Vegget microfarm offers its customers guidance on how to use the contents of the seasonal box, as well as recipes for further processing and storage. This way they don't have to spend their energy during the season on planning sales, and they have room left for organising educational activities. We can therefore say that a major benefit of Vegget microfarm is that, besides growing organic local vegetables, it also helps to change consumer habits and educate people towards greater sustainability.
